Background
About Jason Roth
Jason Roth is an accomplished educator and mentor with a diverse background. He embarked on his journey by earning his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI). Starting as a parts cleaner for vintage Formula One and IndyCar engines, Jason steadily climbed the ladder to become an engineer. He also made significant contributions as a Kaizen Process Engineer at Pratt & Whitney, where his efforts transformed a challenging machine tool center into a lean and highly productive hub, earning him well-deserved recognition. Jason's passion for teaching and coaching began early in his college years, where he kick-started his coaching career at his high school alma mater. Over the course of 23 years, he ascended the coaching ranks, excelling in high school and college football as an assistant, special teams coordinator, and defensive coordinator. His coaching prowess extended beyond football, as he also coached various other sports, ultimately becoming a head coach for track and wrestling. Driven by his newfound love for teaching, Jason seized an opportunity to step into the shoes of his high school tech education teacher mid-year in Indiana. He juggled night college courses while imparting tech ed knowledge during the school day. Fueled by his passion for both coaching and teaching, he ventured to South Carolina to acquire his technology education certification and teacher's license. There, he taught Project Lead the Way courses and conventional tech subjects. Life's twists and turns led Jason back to Indiana, where he undertook the monumental task of revitalizing a struggling middle school and high school tech program. His innovative approach reshaped how tech education was delivered. Fate smiled upon him once more when he was entrusted with the transformation of another program, eventually ascending to the role of Program Chair for Design Technology. His journey didn't stop there; he also assumed the positions of Athletic Director and Assistant Dean for the Engineering and Technology programs at Ivy Tech Community College. Additionally, Jason earned a master's in technology education from Ball State University during this time. Jason's unwavering commitment to guiding individuals in their pursuit of new skills and personal growth has earned him numerous accolades throughout his teaching career. Today, he leverages his wealth of experience as an Education Manager at Autodesk, continuing to inspire and lead individuals on their educational journeys.
