About Jason Savedra

20+ years of experience in the construction industry. I started out early, working as an apprentice with my father and grandfather who own and manage Edward’s Construction Co. in Socorro, NM. That is where I started to develop my strong work ethics. I was educated with many skills including estimating, problem solving, leadership, planning, organizational and management skills. I left Socorro in hopes of becoming a college student at the University of New Mexico. I submitted my application, and was informed I needed some prerequisite classes in order to attend. I took the classes needed by enrolling at the Community College of Central New Mexico (CNM). At that time I was working for a temporary labor company as my day job, when my attention got redirected towards a different path - the electrical construction industry. I enrolled in the NM JATC (Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee) which is a 5 year apprentice program for electricians and is supported/accredited by CNM. I committed myself and I successfully completed the program on time. Upon completion I passed all the state exams and became a licensed Journeyman wireman. I have now been working in the electrical construction industry for 11 years, and have maintained employment with the same contractor ( B&D Ind. Inc.) for almost 10 years. I gained a bounty of experiences as an apprentice and as a journeyman while working on a vast array of different projects. I became a foreman for B&D in 2017 at the VLL Facebook site in Los Lunas, NM. I have held my position as foreman for the security scope for 2.5 years mainly engaged in installing the associated pathways for the access control systems, telecom, and also building, installing, and terminating the cabling and control boxes for leak detection systems.
