I am a partner at Dentons US LLP in Washington D.C. I help clients find pragmatic and efficient solutions to complex compliance and enforcement issues in international business. I am experienced in sanctions programs under Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations, export controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR), foreign direct investment regulation by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Key client successes include securing removal from SDN List for client; resolving sanctions and export controls enforcement matters with no or substantially mitigated penalties; closing foreign direct investment transactions following CFIUS review or investigation; and designing and implementing effective compliance programs.
