About Jason Stetzel

Currently developing and delivering a Hospitality and Catering course at Horizons College in Royal Wootton Bassett, experienced in planning and delivering all aspects of City & Guilds criteria for Diploma in Professional Cookery Level 1 and developing, planning, and delivering Culinary Skills Level 2. Competent with multiple facets of modern and traditional cookery and enthusiastic about supporting the next generation of chefs. As a High School drop out, I started cooking straight out of school. I spent a few years cooking at various family owned restaurants in Minnesota before moving to Denver. I continued to work at small restaurants before realizing that I enjoyed cooking and felt I wanted to learn more about it. At age 26 I enrolled at Art Institute Colorado and proceeded to achieve my Associate Degree. Then at age 30 I moved to England. My first job was at The Crooked Billet in Stoke Row, starting my education into traditional English food and dining customs. Over the years, I noticed myself focusing more on training the younger chefs I would work with and enjoying witnessing them grow and develop. This led to me realizing I love teaching people and I decided to change careers. Enrolling in courses to achieve my teaching qualifications, I am now working as a teacher at a SEND specific college.
