Background
About Jason Stringer
I began working as soon as I legally could at the age of 16. I started off working as a cashier at Kentucky Fried Chicken but soon found that I could run the grill as well. Before too long, I was used as a fill in person and had no real title since I could do anything in the store. After I graduated high school, I began working at a mobile home plant, Fleetwood, in my local area. I started in the frame department building the floor frames. Soon, I showed the supervisor that I could learn any position easily and would work hard to not only complete tasks, but to also help find better ways of doing those tasks. I became an invaluable asset to the company, even working my way up to an unofficial assistant before taking my talents to another company, Haulmark. At Haulmark, a cargo trailer manufacturer, I started my employment helping to clean up the trailers before shipping and putting the tires on them. The line supervisors saw the diligence of my work and asked to have me help on their lines. From there, I learned different skills and worked my way up the ladder of lines until I got a chance to work on one of the primary lines. After Haulmark, I sold cars for a while at Team Suzuki. Having not sold vehicles ever in my life, finding someone who would give me a chance seemed quite daunting, but Team Suzuki did and they never regretted the decision. I became one of the top sellers in about a month's time. My success made the primary dealership think they had lost an opportunity because they saw my lack of experience as a negative and they soon hired a mass of inexperienced young people hoping to replicate my success; however, such was not the case. Not only did the new crop of salespeople not meet expectations but they did not stay for long at the main dealership. The progressing theme of my work life is that I usually have little to no experience before receiving a job; none the less, after a little while I pick up on the job and become a major asset.
