For more than 20 years, I’ve led and managed diverse botanical projects encompassing plant identification, collection, and preservation, specializing in the unique flora of the Great Basin, Intermountain West, and Mojave Deserts. As Curator of Plant Records at Red Butte Garden and Arboretum, I lead and manage a dedicated team of staff and volunteers responsible for the successful management of our extensive plant collections, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. My leadership extends beyond curation, having served as a trusted botanical consultant for numerous clients. I’ve conducted and overseen a wide range of surveys including botanical, algal, ecological, wetland, and habitat assessments, delivering valuable insights and expert recommendations. My expertise has even been recognized in a legal proceeding where I provided expert witness testimony on a wetland delineation case.
