About Jasper Vrancken
I'm a filmmaker, teacher and researcher. I teach about videoproduction at Syntra AB, Audiovisual Storytelling in the bachelor Language and literature at KU Leuven, Kortrijk, video editing at CVO GO! Antwerpen, etc.In 2023 I succesfully finished my PhD in the arts, about theory as an inspiration for the creation of horror cinema.https://jaspervrancken.comAs a filmmaker I specialize in horror. I wrote and directed the horror short "Muil" that won multiple awards, and is still touring film festivals. It will be available shortly on DVD and multiple VOD platform. I also co-wrote the short "Family Matters" that is part of the horror feature length anthology Deathcember ( Specialties: Directing, Screenwriting, Horror production and theory, Corporate video production. Strong interview (Dutch, French, English) and screenwriting skills, with great emphasis on story structure. I love to work with actors.
