About Javier Ballester

I'm a data analytics & process improvement buff! As a highly curious and creative mind, I have always had an eye towards assisting others and improving the conditions for those around me. This curiosity paved the way to a varied educational and professional career that has molding me into a very well-rounded and experienced business professional. My curiosity began with a fascination for biology and chemistry. This led me to volunteer as an EMT-B doing 20-hour overnight shifts on the weekends while in high school and proceeding to be accepted into an advanced biology program wherein I received a full scholarship for my performance. I then pivoted into my first role as an International Business intern at a genomics company. I leveraged my bilingual and biological knowledge to secure a sale within a new Latin American market. Additionally, this began my deep interest for data analytics, having realized the significance of data in making business decisions. Following these experiences, I pursued Data Analytics as a means of not only providing my colleagues with data visualizations but as a means of automating and streamlining crucial processes. This led to me learning Lean Six Sigma, basic programming logic and tackling a multitude of challenges such as: creating client quoting systems using Excel VBA, inventory trackers for generator parts, hospital volumetric QlikView reports, automatic private jet ID tag creators, and Power Bi / Smartsheet / SharePoint ETL processes to create data models needed to track critical processes. I have tackled a variety of tricky problems and have consistently come up with creative data solutions that save my end-users many hours of work. I'm now excited to be entering the procurement consulting world where I'll be able to reach higher heights and provide the most value to my clients! Additional Fun Facts- I'm a proficient bass player and love to write, record, mix, and play during my spare time- I am highly health and fitness conscious. I actively practice MMA / Kickboxing and I wholeheartedly believe that a stronger body allows you to have a stronger mind- I am constantly striving to find improvements, and will often seek out ways to improve my processes and skill sets both inside and outside of work.
