About Javier Dottori

I started developing when I was 15 years old, and without noticing it I was doing relatively complex PHP apps even before starting University. Suddenly, I got a degree in Software Engineering. Finally, I ended up in love with teaching at UNCPBA (aka Unicen), and with working in an office with an exotic mixture of software engineers, PhDs and physicians. My career helped me to grow as a broadly qualified engineer. Once my PhD Director said to me that is not well defined your likes but your dislikes. I haven't got any dislike in the IT sector. That can be exampled in some ways- I love to work where software engineering, complex problems (like simulation, machine learning or big data), high scalability, and applied maths meet together. The bigger the challenge the happier I am. That's why I completed a PhD about computational fluid simulation while working in and teaching development (mainly front-end, back-end and DevOps). I would argue that versatility, efficiency and self-organization were important, but the passion was the key to achieve it- Choose any tech-topic. ready? I have taught it to some colleagues or several hundreds of students. The best compliment for me was "why others do not explain it that way?"- Luckily I have always worked in flexible teams, where I 've ended up leading, mentoring or managing small to medium-sized teams. That's why I moved to my current role as a DevOps (with a different team in the same office), to help my new team to grow, through tools (CI/CD), new processes and trainings, with a holistic-view of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). I love dancing salsa. The greatest thing I have learned dancing is that you train a lot of time for a few minutes in a stage. But if something goes wrong, the show must go on, you should fix it in the best possible way. There is no blame in failing, but in running away nor no-learning for the next show. At home, I am just my wife's partner. We love to see each other growing and we grow together. In the same way, I will always be available to anyone looking for professional growth advice.
