About Javier Medrano

I have been working in different organizations for Tecnatom since 2006. During the first year in the company, I was partially involved in Human Factor Engineering projects while I was getting training as a Main Control Room operator for a BWR nuclear power plant. After finishing training, I was a participant in several projects in Operating Support Systems as an I&C and Human Factor Engineering expert, some of these projects took place in customers` facilities outside Spain. Lately, I have performed Project Leader task as a support to Main Project Leader in the modernization of Plant Process Computer for a PWR Nuclear Power Plant. Meanwhile, I have also participated in other different smaller projects. During these years, I have achieved- deep understanding of both BWR and PWR nuclear Technologies and operation issues- experience with different software for digital control systems such as Teleperm XP; Ovation; Experion or Simatic- Knowledge in Human Factor Engineering applied to system design itself (maintainability) and hardware- or software-based control- Project and team leading capabilities.
