About Javier Rodriguez

I am a Field Supply Chain Manager known for effective leadership in training and motivating top-performing cross-functional teams. I have been recognized by Corporate leadership after managing all 29 of the CA vendors, from Santa Barbara to San Diego for 8 months, while the company was hiring a new manager for the San Diego area. I find it exciting to tackle complex challenges, especially when it involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve our goals and enhance our processes and procedures. The main issues that our clients face are that construction projects are difficult to forecast due to city/county permits, redesigns, shortage of materials, back ordered materials, wrong materials ordered, expedited requests and at times training shortfalls that lead to delays in material deliveries. I help solve these issues with regular team meetings with all departments involved so we have a clear understanding and accurate timelines of projects on the schedule, as well as identifying all materials needed for such projects. Colleagues best know me for my soft and cool demeanor. I don’t get too excited under pressure or stressful situations. Not to say I don’t, I simply have learned to deal with these instances better than I did in the past. When it’s appropriate, I like to make people laugh and use humor to help ease tensions or stressful situations. I have a son and a daughter, who are my priority in life. Both are in college now and I could not be more proud of both of them for working hard to reach their goals, but most importantly for being great human beings. I do have a female Labrador named Nala, who keeps me company now that my kids are in college. I’m very involved in soccer and it’s the sport that I grew up playing and coaching. I’ve been playing soccer since I was 5 years old and coaching for approximately 25 years, starting with my kids AYSO teams to club and All-Star teams. One of the reasons I keep coaching is the joy that I get from helping young players not only grow and improve their soccer skills, but also learn how to work as a team. Showing them how important it is to win and lose as a team, respecting the game, our opponents, referees, coaches and of course their parents is very important and fulfilling to me. I’d like to think that I made a difference in these players' lives and I hope to make that same impact in the lives of my clients and colleagues.
