About Jay Bachmann

Jay has served as the Vice President of the US Gypsum Business for Saint-Gobain, CertainTeed since February 2020. He was asked to lead this business after the merger of Continental Building Products, Inc. into the CertainTeed US Gypsum business. Jay had served as CEO of Continental Building Products since January 2015 and was a member of the Board of Directors since March 2015. Jay guided Continental through its transition from ownership under the private equity group, Lone Star, to a fully independent public company on the New York Stock Exchange. Prior to his role of CEO, Jay served as Chief Financial Officer of Continental from January 2014 to May 2015 and also briefly served as interim Chief Executive Officer from November 2014 to January 2015. Prior to Continental, Jay served in a series of finance roles of increasing responsibility within Lafarge SA, a global building materials company. This included a five year expatriate assignment to the Lafarge SA corporate office in Paris, France as Senior Vice President Finance – Investor Relations.
