About Jay Badry

My role as Director of Donor Relations at Gateway Seminary allows me to interface with men and women who make theological education possible with their prayer and financial support. Gateway Seminary’s mission is to shape leaders who expand God’s kingdom around the world. For nearly 75 years Gateway has trained men and women who have taken the life-changing gospel of Christ to the nations. Since returning to this role, after a 3-year assignment serving with Fellowship of a Christian Athletes, I have been asking one simple question of faculty, staff, and administrators. That question is, “If money was no object, what would you do to enhance and support the mission of Gateway Seminary?” I love the look on faces when I pose this question. There is shock, then they consider, and finally share the vision they have never dreamed possible. These are some of the most intelligent men and women in Christian ministry and their response is never frivolous. My next step is to prayerfully develop a strategic plan for seeking adequate funding along with enlisting prayer partners for that project. I love to see God raise up His children to fund His mission of reaching into every tribe and culture with the grace and gospel of Christ. I have two additional passions. One is to spiritually mentor young men. I love investing time in those who will impact the world in every imaginable career path. My other passion is to assist ministries to learn how to raise up donors and dollars to accomplish their God-given mission. I enjoy sharing with them what others have taught me and assisting them in the area of Donor Development and Relations.
