About Jay Baldo

In 1992 my parents made a perilous voyage across the Caribbean sea with their infant son in hopes that the United States would allow him opportunity and freedom of expression; that of which was forbidden in the oppressive-communist regime of his birthplace, Cuba. That infant was me, This is my story. Having had an exuberant interest in the performing arts since childhood, I always found myself personally excelling in Music, Acting, and Music/Video Production. Feeling overwhelmed and unheard during my teenage years, I sought refuge in the world of songwriting and poetry; giving hours upon hours to the rapture of the creative process (sometimes to the detriment of how it would effect schoolwork and family dynamics). Through the many fallouts of relationships, mundane day-jobs, and unstable living arrangements, I continued to create despite the pressure(s) of saturated city living and a troubled economy. It has taken quite some courage to stay imaginative and fluid. Now, 27 years old, I hope to inspire the imagination of others while learning to spread my own wings-my potential and joy of artistic expression. I have appeared in fashion/modeling exhibits such as HIGH GLOSS and BEARDS & BABES BURLESQUE. My Musical Projects have opened the stage for notable alternative acts such as Frontline Assembly, Suicide Commando, Timecop 1983, Unknown Hinson, and more. I am also a resident DJ at the famous nightclub 'Respectable Street' in West Palm Beach, Florida. Seeking to explore Multi-Media platforms to cultivate and proceed with the visionary experience and the transmutation of the senses. Whether it'd be using my own vessel through photography, acting, and modeling, or through my contributions of music through my projects 'META4MACHINE'-(Genre: dreampop, synthwave) and/or 'SKOROS'-(Genre: doomwave, synth-punk).
