Controller for Circle Media LLC, a television network dedicated to the country music lifestyle experience. Financial manager with extensive corporate, public accounting, business management, operations, broadcast and project management experience: Finance - Corporate financial management - Development and monitoring of annual budget - Supervision of monthly closings - Financial reporting; board reports - Strategic planning; managerial reporting - Collaborating with operations and IT to enhance reporting systems - Lead and motivate staff Operations - Project leader and manager - Support sales and operations teams - Project feasibility analysis Business Development - Financial modeling for business proposals - Support sales division My media experience also includes serving as corporate controller for NorthStar Studios, Inc, a digital media company and one of the Southeast's largest television production and distribution facilities. My responsibilities included financial management, financial reporting, annual budgets, financial planning and analysis and serving as financial liaison to the parent company. I supervised financial closings, coordinated the annual financial statement audit and managed financial staff. I was responsible for the financial analysis and modeling of new business projects and the expansion of business units. I collaborated with department heads and with senior management at the parent company. I served as controller for ten years before the facility was sold. I also recently served as a multi-branch controller for a national provider of access solutions. My prior business and financial experience includes serving as a principal in a business management firm and as a senior manager with professional services firm Ernst & Young. I hold a bachelor’s degree in corporate finance, a certificate in financial accounting, and master of tax accounting degree from The University of Alabama and am a certified public accountant and a CGMA.
