Commissioned in the Royal Air Force and qualified as a helicopter pilot. World - wide experience in both the Search and Rescue and Support Helicopter Roles, together with extensive management experience. Twelve years' experience instructing helicopter pilots. Retired from the Royal Air Force in 1992. Following a year as Chief Pilot and Director of Operations with a West African organisation was contracted to the Royal Air Force of Oman as a helicopter specialist. Responsibilities included the flying training of all Royal Air Force of Oman helicopter pilots and instructors, direct liaison with the Oman Civil Aviation Authorities and designing and producing computer aided training courses for ground school subjects. Joined Police Aviation Services in December flying the MD902 Explorer in the HEMS and police support roles. Employed as Chief Flying Instructor in May 2004 by Horizon Flying Academy in the United Arab Emirates. Responsible for the supervision and training of 12 instructors and 60 student pilots. Employed as Chief Pilot By Everett Aviation in June 2005. Responsible for the initial set up and subsequent operation of a commercial HEMS and charter operation. Employed by PDG Helicopters in June 2006. Responsible for offshore Commercial Air Transport operations in support of Qinetiq. Returned to Everett Aviation in October 2010 in the position of Chief Pilot, Chief Training Captain, and Director of Operations. Responsible for managing a fleet of 10 helicopters and 25 pilots operating in Offshore, lifting and commercial Air Transport roles. Returned to PDG Helicopters in Aug 2013 IOSA qualified aviation auditor 2013 Returned to Everett Aviation as Head of Operations in 2015
