Jay is an experienced Chartered Accountant and a Director of Orb360, a Chartered Accounting firm based in Auckland (Newmarket, Albany & Wellington. He has various investments in India in various sectors. He facilitates conversations with New Zealand companies looking to set up businesses in India with his strong connections at all levels in India and also help Indian companies looking to invest in New Zealand. Jay has over 20 years of accounting, forensic accounting and tax experience. Some of his previous roles include Tax Manager at Grant Thornton and Crowe Horwath (WHK), Tax Investigator at the IRD, Forensic Accountant at McDonald Vague Insolvency, and Financial Accountant at Flight Centre. He is a regular Expert witness in a court on disputed business litigation matters. Jay owns Orb360 Franchise Consulting JV with US Partner, to create franchise systems from scratch for NZ SME businesses considering Franchise or License as an option to expand in NZ or entering NZ, AUS, UK and India markets. Jay is Passionate about India New Zealand Free Trade. Have held various roles at India New Zealand Business Council in last 12 years, Last 6 years as a Treasurer and now a current Board Member. He is a regular expert speaker with media on India New Zealand Trade topics. Jay is a member of the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs (NZIIA)- Whare Tawāhi-a-mahi i Aotearoa, is an independent, non-governmental organization that fosters expert discussion and understanding of international issues and emerging trends, particularly as they relate to Aotearoa New Zealand. He is a member of various business organization such as India New Zealand Business Council, Fiji NZ Business Council, Auckland Chamber of Commerce, Pacific Business Trust, NZ Asian Leaders, Mentors NZ, Governance NZ, Institute of Directors and New Zealand Institute of International Affairs. Jay is an experienced finance person with various Company Director/Trustee roles including Mountain to Sea Conservation Trust, India New Zealand Business Council, Waitakere Cricket Club, Orb360 Group. Outside work Jay enjoys spending time with his family, playing cricket, Badminton and meditation. He works closely with the Charities to raise money for the cause. In 2019 he raised money for Auckland City to support Homelessness cause, Gut Cancer Health initiative and Food for life - School program.
