About Jay Davis

27 Years Progressive Leadership in Military Aviation Operations and Performance Management Team Leadership Recruiting and Hiring Training and Assessment Organizational Processes Annually rated among the top 1% of Army Aviation Leaders, I have enjoyed more than two decades in leading soldiers and elite special operators in Conventional and Special Operations Aviation. My specialty is elevating individual performance and organizational effectiveness. I have had the privilege of working with some of the finest individuals in government service. Some of our achievements under my leadership include: Reversed an all-time staffing low with very little inflow of personnel to deliver transformational change. The shift to a values-based recruitment strategy and standardized processes yielded a 12% initial increase in applications and streamlined the review process 30%. Initiated a series of adjustments to positively influence a toxic leadership culture. Through mentorship, targeted counseling, leadership development, coaching, and unfortunately some firings, we were able to revitalize morale, increase performance, and restore a sense of pride in the unit. Tasked by Congress to create a unique organization that would travel at a moment’s notice to select partner nations for security cooperation operations, I conquered a steep learning curve to develop and launch a highly sensitive and effective program. To date, we have successfully accomplished 45 global engagements. With a moral foundation of integrity, humility, and loyalty, I lead by example to show my subordinates and peers that we work together for the good of the organization.
