With over a 8 years of experience in the IT field, my core competencies lie in ensuring operational excellence in technology support and maintenance. At Kingston Community Health Centres, my mission is to provide robust and innovative information services that align with the organization's commitment to community health. My expertise in client support and preventive maintenance contributes to our collective goal of delivering seamless, efficient health services. As an IT Consultant, my role encompassed a spectrum of responsibilities from workstation installation and deployment to preventative maintenance on servers. My experience at Buchanan Technologies honed my skills in hardware and software troubleshooting in an enterprise environment, where I effectively used hybrid AD and remote management software to resolve issues expediently. Working closely with staff members by providing tier 1 and 2 technical support allowed me to engage with managers and directors to fulfill organizational goals. Our team's dedication to quality-driven results enhances client satisfaction and operational continuity. With proven merit and a willingness to adapt and enhance my skills, I was offered an opportunity as an Information Services Support Technician at Kingston Community Health Centres. I was given the opportunity to continue working on enterprise level equipment, provide tier 1/2 technical support to staff and contribute the overall network health if the environment. KCHC is an inclusive and collaborative organization which acts as a beacon to disadvantaged members of the community. It was a privilege to be considered for this position. My knowledgeable manager and mentors empowered me to collaborate with hardware vendors, managed services providers, security operations teams and utility providers while operating with autonomy. One of my most notable projects was the migration from on-premesis active directory to InTune cloud management, streamlining the deployment of security patches and software. in Dec. 2024, I was promoted to my current position of System Administrator of Information Services. My current focus is on business continuity, cyber security, physical/virtual server maintenance, vendor relations, network improvements and oversight of managed services providers. Systems I am responsible for maintaining are Microsoft 365 administration, on-prem and cloud based F fileshares, IP phone administration, managed detection response administration, VPN authentication administration, hardware replacements and software deployments.
