About Jay Elmquist

My objective is to utilize my Training experience and technical skills in a collaborative environment where my contributions are acknowledged by others. I strive for continuous improvement and am eager to take on new challenges. With a strong work ethic, my focus on customer satisfaction has given me the opportunity to expand my knowledge of multiple products, create new processes, streamline existing procedures, improve communications between departments/groups and support our internal and external customers at all levels with the highest level of professionalism. I am a candidate for the priesthood in the Diocese of Northern California, where I call Sacramento home. I served at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, where I worked on the Adult Spiritual Formation Committee and served in worship as a Verger. I has served my diocese on the Bishop Transition Committee and as a Diocesan Convention delegate. In the summer of 2022, I was privileged to serve as a deputy to the 80th General Convention of The Episcopal Church. I am currently attending Virginia Theological Seminary, and will graduate with a Diploma in Anglican Studies in May 2024. I am currently serving at St. Thomas’ Parish, Dupont Circle, Washington D.C. as their seminarian.
