Executive Leadership Joined Heartland Financial USA, Inc.(HTLF) in 2020, continuing a career in bank operational, line of business, strategic and legal functions: • Currently serving as EVP & Chief Administrative Officer (overseeing human capital, IT, operations and corporate communications) as well as General Counsel (overseeing the legal department and serving as the principal legal advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors). • Executive sponsor overseeing HTLF’s companywide bank consolidation project and co-sponsor of ESG initiatives. • Oversaw wealth management division during a reorganization of the individual wealth management and retirement plan businesses. • Led the formation and operation of HTLF’s loan program, originating loans with an aggregate balance of $1.6 billion in the 18 months following the program’s creation. Previously served as an executive with two other banking organizations in a range of roles, including responsibility for M&A, investor relations, audit, risk and legal functions, and service on subsidiary bank boards. Trusted legal and strategic advisor to bank owners, CEO’s and boards. Non-Profit Leadership Service on multiple non-profit boards, often as board chair. Experience chairing finance, philanthropy/development and governance committees; in leadership roles in capital campaigns; and advancing a culture of philanthropy among board members. Currently serving as Vice Chair of The Nature Conservancy for MN, ND and SD. • Established and currently serving as Chair of the Philanthropy Committee. • Service on the Conservation and Finance Committees and a climate advisory group working with corporate leaders on climate and ESG related matters. Prior service as Board Chair and the Development Committee Chair for the U of MN law school and on the $100 million Driven campaign steering committee. Prior service on multiple YMCA branch and program boards and the board of a food security organization and the Minnesota Twins Community Fund. Personal Engaged in a lifelong pursuit of creativity through cooking, oil painting, wood block printing and poetry. Constantly drawn to the outdoors as a forager, gardener, hiker, bird and trout watcher and horseback rider.
