About Jay Lad

As a friendly and cooperative professional, with a drive for Regulatory Affairs, I am excited to connect with you. I have successfully completed an international Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (Honours) as well as a Master’s Degree in Food Science and Technology. My career started at Nepenthe Coffee and Chocolates, where I worked as a Production/Quality Assurance Executive. This is where I gained exposure to the operational side of the food industry. My pursuit of learning new things and curiosity led me to working with a consultancy firm where I worked as a Regulatory Affairs Executive. This industry experience has allowed to further develop strong skills in documentation, making dossier applications and product label evaluations. With a passion for lifelong learning, I decided to pursue Regulatory Affairs at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, Ottawa. My goal in this program is to further explore and work with Canadian Food Regulations. My favourite course in this program is Pre-Market Regulatory Submissions. I am keen on learning more about regulatory processes for both government and industry and my focus is on natural health products and food. When I am not focused on my academics or professional life, I am an enthusiast of music, arts, nature and a strong promoter of mental health and well-being.
