About Jay Leblanc

Most of my career has been spent developing software to aid in the development of processors. The most recent years have all been spent understanding the bottlenecks that cause code not to run well within a micro-architecture. This includes spending some time working compiler groups. Recently, I developed a java gui to display information about how data moves through a processor with a variety of views sharing a unified set of data. Other software projects include writing my own logic simulator to handle a cycle stealing methodology not handled by our existing logic simulation methodology. I also developed a performance model of a processor, a bus functional model and with a small group developed a waveform relaxation circuit simulator. Additionally, I developed an architectural model for a vliw machine that I was able to run specInt and specFloat. On the hardware side, I have written decode logic for an x86 architecture, and worked on a vliw processor, ppc750 series, nintendo wii processor and on the power series processors p7 and p8 (and started on p9)
