I`m an accomplished privacy compliance and information access professional with 20 years’ experience in developing and implementing strategies and programs to enhance customer trust through protection of privacy and information management. My Background I`m a customer focused leader with a passion for privacy with specialized experience in developing and executing privacy strategies and measuring results. I have in-depth knowledge of privacy and information legislation, regulations and industry standards, process and data flows, training, risk management, data breach response, risk identification and mitigation, compliance frameworks, privacy policies and GDPR compliance and GDPR readiness assessments. In addition, I`ve led teams of professionals who responded to thousands of complaints and enquiries from customers and stakeholders ranging from straightforward customer service complaints to intensive investigations into the fairness of programs and processes. About Me I get tremendous satisfaction out of collaboration, problem solving and working with cross functional teams to find creative solutions to complex challenges. I`m an International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Certified Information Privacy Professional, I`ve served on the IAPP Advisory Board (Canada) and I'm a current member of their Education Advisory Board and teaching faculty. I also ride and race bikes - I`ve been on the podium at provincial and national championships, and I`m a NCCP certified coach who gets a kick out of assisting athletes of all ages achieve their goals.
