While living in NYC, I worked as a Recruiting Coordinator, scheduling hundreds of interviews and reviewing thousands of resumes—some polished, some not so much.In my late 20s, I often felt stuck, on the outside looking in as key decision-makers gathered around the table. I thought I wasn’t part of the important conversations.Looking back, I’m grateful for those experiences. They’ve shaped who I am today and taught me how to approach interviews with confidence. I’ve learned what to look for, what questions to ask, and how to break down the barriers that candidates sometimes present.My approach to hiring is simple: “Interview the person, not just the résumé.” Every individual has a unique story, a purpose, and something valuable to offer.
