About Jay McCaughtry
I am currently the lead vocalist/lead guitarist for the original rock band McHoodoo based in Marion Indiana. We play modern rock that is firmly rooted in classic rock & metal & the electric blues. I am an experienced live performer with a successful track record in live performance (hundreds of shows to my credit). I am also a prolific songwriter with hundreds of songs to my credit. Some of my material has been in regular airplay on WDVE Pittsburgh from a solo album I wrote, recorded & performed. Every part on the entire album was performed by myself (Enigma- Jay T McCaughtry on Red Eye Records [my own label ]). I have experience in live sound production, sound engineering & production for recording. I am proficient with conventional recording & computer based recording software (Pro Tools, Reason, ect.). I am proficient on 7 instruments & vocals in many styles of music. I play all styles of guitar including but not limited to classical fingerstyle & slide. I am also experienced in band management & booking show.
