About Jay Petty

After working in an accounting firm, then falling into Local Government by accident, I have found the reason I've stayed is because of the job satisfaction. Working somewhere that I feel like I can give back to my community is so rewarding, and with the accounting industry you don't always get that opportunity. Initially working in the financial services team I felt lucky to have found a way to do what I love and still give back by helping to ensure the future needs of the community can be met. After going in and out of the workforce a few times with a couple of Maternity leave stints I was offered the opportunity to contribute to the community using the skills i’d gained while working in both accounting and Local Government in a position that allowed value adding projects to get off the ground and continue to grow and be supported. I’ve since come full circle and back to a role where I can support a team and an organisation to achieve great things. Im excited to be working with a dedicated, inquisitive and honest team who want to learn, grow and give back to their community!
