About Jay R. Hooper

I am seeking venture in youth development culturally, creatively, and ethically to further my future non-profit administrative endeavors. My colorful experience has been highly involved in underserved youth within non-profit charter schools where I educated youth through arts and culture. I seek to share my experience of creative programming, human development, and community engagement. Regardless of budget cuts in some arts programing, my experiences in non profit adminsitration have encouraged me be relentless, versatile, and challenge myself through sucessful program devlopment for fundraising. Enjoy supporting schools and communities using strategies in professional development, conflict resolution, and teamwork. I have in shared in supervising and coordinating educational information for parents, teachers, and staff. I equip myself through researching contemporary issues in socio-cultural shift and present new opportunities through educational programming. I have been able to gather and process information to navigate individual success and encourage collaboration with others to manage progress. Being an educator has assisted me in communication, organization, and project management. I have managed and maintained various budgets ranging from to annually for a student body of 800+ to ensure successful arts & cultural educational programming. My involvement with art committees has helped me develop partnership and volunteer with other organizations like the Restoration Corporation Center for Arts and Culture, The Baltimore Montessori Charter School, and the Greenmount West Community Association.
