About Jay Riley

As a Technical Support Engineer II, and former Lab Supervisor/Senior Technician, I have acquired over 16 years of experience in the electronics/technology field with primary focus in the Medical Device industry. I have been regarded as the "Vela King"(as in "VelaShape") by colleagues and industry peers. I posses a strong technical background in electronics hardware, mechanical assemblies, pneumatic systems, software, quality control, and technical writing coupled with a large concentration on customer service that I've put to good use in various roles (some unofficially) as a Senior Technician, Associate Engineer, Technical Writer, Validation Engineer, and Laboratory Supervisor. I have played a key role in the launch and support of several flagship products with a dedicated hands-on approach, and involvement in all life-cycle phases from development + V&V, to launch + field support, and throughout product end of life w/ unwavering customer support. I've always had a strong work ethic, and desire for improvement and growth. Most recently, I've expanded my knowledge-base of regulatory and quality system requirements via first-hand work experience and independent coursework. The biggest challenge I've faced in recent years relate to my current battle against Stage IV, terminal Brain Cancer, but am continuing the fight with traditional & adjunct natural therapies.
