About Jay Robey

I’ve always had a passion for Drama and Film, after working on the set of Jason Statham’s Blitz. Fast-tracked into directing through the BBC, starting with live news, it was inevitable I was going to move into films and dramas. My first film getting recognised with two nominations at the Madrid International film festival gave me the confidence to pursue my dream. Car Pool Poker proved my next challenge, working with greats like Paul Barber and Joe McCann. This has won two awards for best film and has been received well throughout the film circuit. I then moved onto my third venture, The Old Turk, as co-producer and director. This was nominated for best short and bet director at the LA awards ceremony. I have directed and produced three music videos, all with very different styles and techniques to make unique videos. This year in the pipe-line is a short film with Erin Shanagher from Peaky Blinders, a music video and a feature. Always on the look for other projects that require a unique and confident director/producer.
