About Jay Spearing

Twenty years of experience in the group benefits arena with an extensive knowledge of products and risk management, including over 10 years of experience as a Group Insurance Underwriter. Proficient with Microsoft Office, with a strong mathematical background, and extremely detail oriented and computer literate. I have built a strong rapport with my colleagues and customers, am a team player, learn procedures very quickly and have always adapted easily to change. From previous business experience, I have gained familiarity with financial reporting and accounting, as well as providing superior service to clients through both written communication and face to face. I have achieved a GBA designation with a long-term goal to achieve a full CEBS designation. I have also achieved an ACS designation through LOMA. My personal interests include woodworking, hobby electronics and being a graphite artist, as I enjoy working creatively. I also have an interest in family history and have created a custom genealogical numbering system; I have also been developing a genealogy web page using self-taught skills in HTML and SQL programming. My general interests also include music (drummer) and photography.
