About Jay Stampfl

Jay Stampfl started his digital marketing career in 2007. Since that time, the industry has transformed in countless ways, but the differentiators he has developed to drive results for clients – transparency, always-on service, and dedication to the craft – have not. Jay founded Blackbird PPC in 2016 after experiences in two renowned agencies, where he helped world-class clients reach ambitious growth milestones and trained promising young marketers in the tools of the trade. Blackbird’s goal is to drive best-in-class client performance by working harder than its competitors to uncover competitive advantages. Team members are encouraged to challenge best practices, look several layers deeper in their analyses, jump on early adoption opportunities, and never take a platform metric at face value. The team strives to educate clients on the most profitable ways to use – and measure the effects of – their budget. Across accounts, Blackbird’s most important KPIs are NPS (most recent score: 90) and client retention. Jay’s own marketing philosophies are rooted in advanced analytical models and platform techniques that sometimes cut against traditional best practices. His thought leadership includes multiple lecturing opportunities at Google and Wharton and several appearances on the SMX circuit and HeroConf.
