I’ve been around the media and entertainment space forever, reporting on the movie biz as staff correspondent of Variety in Rome, editing Television Business International when the global TV market was something new and launching the European operation of Kagan (the media research arm of S+P Global). When I started a sports business publishing company (later acquired by the Press Association), the global sports industry was just gaining traction (I produced a 6-hour documentary about its rapid growth for Showtime and Channel 4). And then digital and tech took over and now I’m into Gaming, Web3 and AI and stuff that I never imagined as a young stringer covering the European Cup final for AP when newsrooms still echoed to the sound of clattering teletype machines. The brand of my old publishing company was Perspective Media. So-so business but what a great name. Perspective, that’s me.
