About Jay Susie

Currently I am employed as an Assistant Manager at Goodyear Tire and Service Center in Harrisburg Illinois. Here I am responsible for the opening and closing of daily operations. My responsibilities include managing office and workshop associates, accounts payable and receivable, and customer service. Previously I was employed as a Route Sales Representative with Nestle USA since October 2011. In this position I identified and executed on sales opportunities by gaining additional sales placements and utilizing point of sale advertising. This was accomplished by maintaining a positive relationship with clients and providing service in a timely manner. Operating company vehicles and equipment was also a crucial part of this job and it was my responsibility that any problems are addressed as soon as possible. Since this position operated with a high degree of autonomy I feel that I have gained a lot of experience with time management and have become much more of a self starter. Previous to my current position I was a Production Foreman at Pepsi MidAmerica. Here I was fully responsible for managing a seven member night shift production crew, performing staff training, supervision, and safety management. Machine operation and maintenance was also part of my daily responsibilities as well as coordinating with logistics to ensure that product needs were met. This position gave me the management skills that I continue to use today. Educationally I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation management and a Master of Public Administration from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. These gave me the knowledge I need to succeed in not only aviation and public administration fields but any field that I am or would be employed in.
