I apply objective, scientific knowledge of human perception and performance to find the most rational solution for complex, real-world problems related to human behavior. I research products for potential benefits/limitations associated with their use. I investigate (1) the decisions made to use products,(2) our use of instructions, warnings, etc. to guide our behavior,(2) human contributions to accidents and preventing accidents, and (3) how our memories of events may be biased when recalling past, and predicting future, actions and events. Specialties: micromobility services, memory, attention, vision, audition, perception/awareness, cognition, decision-making, interaction of emotions and cognition, performance in low- and high-stress situations, eye tracking, driver behavior, pedestrian behavior, and product testing.
