Expertise in collateral assessments and custom tailored collateral testing in the Canadian and American secured lending markets. The primary objective of the field examination process is to provide accurate, meaningful and timely information to support and inform the initial loan underwriting transaction and the initial credit approval process. At the initial assessment stage we seek to identify the characteristics of the Borrower's collateral base with respect to: asset quality, collateral issues and developing a real world “exit strategy” analysis which includes an identification of significant obstacles that could arise for the lender. Once the initial assessment has been completed, the field examination process serves to regularly monitor eligible collateral for adverse changes that could impact the established borrowing base structure.
