About Jay van

Experienced Emergency Department RN. Currently finishing education in a Family Nurse Practitioner program. My background has been in helping patients from many different backgrounds to find health and wellness through periods of concern or illness. I have worked as an RN and as a charge nurse with the healthcare team in the emergency setting to try and provide the best care and to help team to overcome the many different challenges and issues patients may face. I have also studied as a student to to provide safe and efficient care as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I hope to broaden the ways in which I can provide for the health of patients.As a nurse, my philosophy has been to a force for health in the patient's lives by providing patients an understanding of their health and to give control to patients by providing them with all the resources to make changes and decisions regarding their health. Everyone needs good external factors to promote health and this can be done effectively while respecting the beliefs and wishes of every patient.
