Significant projects undertaken by myself and co-owner CPA Elisa Walker since purchase in January 2020 include- Rationalization and modernization of client records retention regime - Upgrade of outdated server and other hardware - Move to Cloud-based back-up service to protect client records, while remaining at or better than Canadian government regulations and the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) regulations and Standards of Ethics and Practice - Complete revamp and modernization of website now at OceanBreeze.ca - Modernization and update of various software including Microsoft 365 amongst others - Provision of Health Care benefits for all staff members - Moderization and updating of some office furnishings and decor, exterior and interior lighting improved - Retirement of the ~20 year old phone service to a modern VOIP service supported by modern and business-supportive best-in-class Polycom VVX phones - Ongoing review of Internal Best Practices for effective and streamlined customer service - Moves to other Cloud-based accounting programs and services - Revitalization of an aged workforce, to one primarily in their 30s and 40s.
