About Jay White

I am entering my 35th year of education. There have been many changes to how we deliver instruction and measure progress. Conroe ISD is one of the finest districts I have ever worked for. CISD is strong across the board with great leadership, caring teachers, great facilities and a financially strong position. I am attempting to make Caney Creek girls basketball respectful and teach the girls about life. It can hold you down or lift you up. It all depends on how hard you work and the decisions you make. Coach Gerald Cooley, my mentor, told me to work the girls hard, take good care of them and teach basketball as if they would become coaches themselves one day. I hold true to that philosophy. The good thing is that I absolutely love going to "work". Each day brings me happiness and joy, just as it did when I played for Coach Cooley 40 years ago.
