I am a highly experienced, dynamic, responsible and dedicated clinical and basic research professional, with education and career spanning over 17 years in ocular health landscape. With a PhD in Optometry from University of New South Wales, Australia and 11+ years of garnered experience in clinical and laboratory eye care research at the University of Waterloo, Canada, I have the skills and knowledge to design, execute, and report on phase ii to iv clinical trials complying with ICH-GCP guidelines, as well as conduct microbiological and cell culture projects as per FDA’s cGLP for Non-clinical laboratory studies. Additionally, I have 2 years of experience as an Optometrist.Some of my accomplishments include, proven leadership and accountability as demonstrated with the completion of 17 clinical and 11 laboratory studies in the ophthalmic domain, co-establishing a ocular microbiology lab facility at a research centre, a published author in peer reviewed journal articles with high-impact factor, a confident presenter of scientific abstracts at international conferences and a recipient of multiple awards and scholarships for outstanding academic performance.I am proficient in clinical study development, clinical trial management, analyzing and interpreting complex scientific data, study reporting, optometric/ophthalmic evaluations and scientific writing. With a collaborative persona, I have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Also, adept with project planning, prioritization, and execution, while meeting the timelines for study deliverables. Highly organized with an eye for attention to details.
