About Jayadeb Nanda

Jayadeb Nanda, Chief Operating Officer - Operations and Maintenance, joined Adani Power Limited in April 2012. An electrical engineer by profession, Mr. Nanda is an alumnus of Sambalpur University, Orissa. He is also a member of the Institution of Engineers, India. Mr. Nanda started his career in NTPC as an executive trainee and went on to become the Executive Director in charge of Eastern Region - 2. With over 34 years of experience, he has a rich experience and knowledge of thermal power plants including, project execution, commissioning and operation & maintenance of various power plants. Trained in the UK, US, France, Belgium and Switzerland in Power plant operations, Mr. Nanda leads the O&M team at Adani Power, to establish robust systems and processes, achieve operational excellence and resource optimization as well as build a leadership pipeline and a culture of meritocracy within the organization. A man of few words, he leads the O&M team of the Largest Private Power Producer of India. He believes in growing talent from within and is a personal proof of growing from the grassroots to the very top. Meritocracy is the only yardstick of success for him as he leads the O&M team of Adani Power at Mundra, Tiroda and Kawai and a generation capacity of 9240 MW. From BTG supplies to power plant commissioning, strategic and technical due diligence and mapping integration plans in M & As to managing talent as well as exceptional plant performance, he spearheads them all. His exemplary project management skills help the business run smoothly and efficiently irrespective of external impacts on the business. A true believer in giving back to the society, he leads the personnel safety, security, environment, training and development, O&M sustainability and corporate social responsibility initiatives from the front. Under his guidance, the Adani Power Training and Research Institute has achieved world class benchmarks.
