About Jayant Bose

Over a career spanning 44 years in Marketing, Strategy and Brand Management, I have sat on different sides of the fence. The first 25 years were in the corporate world as a practitioner and the subsequent 19 years (and counting) in the academic world as an educator. During my corporate career, I again saw the field from the side of a Marketer for 15 years in firms like McDowell & Co, Kwality Ice Cream & Amrit Banaspati Co.( of Uncle Chipps fame) and as an advertiser for 10 years at RK Swamy/BBDO and Frank Simoes. When I transitioned into the field of education, I again spent 8 years as an administrator in the role of Dean / Director while also teaching courses in marketing & strategy. Since 2005, I have transitioned to a role of being visiting faculty at multiple business schools in the NCR region such as Fore School of Management, IMT Ghaziabad, Amity Business School, NIIT University etc. The experience of having sat on both sides of the table have given me the ability to understand situations from all angles – a key to any role for upcoming students in the field of Marketing, Strategy or even life in general!
