About Jayda Pickett

I’m a rising 3L at New York Law School with a strong focus in corporate law, contracts, compliance, and a deep commitment to equity and advocacy. My path to law began at Howard University, where I earned a B.A. in English and developed a lifelong appreciation for how language shapes power, perception, and access. Since starting law school, I’ve worked in both public and private sectors, from immigration and municipal law to financial services and corporate law. I’ve supported attorneys on complex legal matters, contributed to motion practice and discovery, and helped translate law into practical guidance for real people. I’ve served in various leadership roles in student organizations, taught/mentored students, and advocated for accessibility and inclusion across the legal community. What sets me apart is my ability to navigate high-stakes environments while staying grounded in purpose. I lead with clarity, serve with intention, and always seek solutions that balance strategic thinking with human impact. I’m actively exploring 2026 post-grad opportunities and welcome connections with legal professionals who believe in mentorship, innovation, and building a more inclusive profession.
