About Jaydeep Chakrabarty

I am highly skilled in leading organizational change and transformation, with a focus on generative AI, emerging technologies, and innovation. Currently I work as Director of AI in Tech for Piramal Finance. Prior to this I worked as Head of the Generative AI R&D and client partnership at Thoughtworks for India, ME and few other regions and the Head of Communities for Thoughtworks India. Successfully implemented AI strategies that resulted in increase in revenue. Founded and led ThoughtWorks' Generative AI group, named GPT Wizards, responsible for research, development, and client engagement focused on generative AI. Currently serving as Head of Communities and Head of Generative AI Engagements and R&D at ThoughtWorks, leading strategic initiatives and driving organizational success. Experience leading and executing cross functional projects, familiarity and proficiency with agile methods and tools to support project management in a timeline sensitive environment. I am also a Principal Consultant at Thoughtworks, where I contribute to the open source community across various tech stacks and projects, such as Talisman, OpenStack, Report-mine, Taiko, and EEG studies. I am a speaker and author for EFY and Opensource4You, sharing my insights and knowledge on topics such as Quarkus, Unit Testing, and Agile Methodologies. I believe in growing together as a tribe and collaborating with diverse and talented teams. When not working, I enjoy playing and studying chess.
