About Jayden Akerlund

I graduated with great distinction from Edwards School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a major in Operations Management. I was very fortunate to spend a four month term abroad in Santander, Spain continuing my studies at Cesine Design and Business School. I hold an Advanced Business Stream certification, completing FITT workshops and university courses in international business. I have several years of work experience in Procurement, Digital Enablement, and Supplier Relations. I’ve worked with many vendors to onboard them onto SAP Ariba to transact with Nutrien, from initial conversations, technical set up, user acceptance testing, go live, and sustainment. I’ve supported building dashboards and reporting of project metrics and I’ve led and trained colleagues on Ariba enablement projects. I have experience working with mining and industrial sites to purchase required parts from vendors in a timely manner from sending request for quotations and reviewing quotes to cutting purchase orders and expediting orders with late delivery. I’ve worked with these sites to procure services from various vendors, involving creation of site service work scopes, putting together RFQ packages, reviewing quote submissions and pricing changes, adhering and disputing terms and conditions, reviewing insurance requirements are met, awarding POs, and facilitating discussions. I utilize my strong communication and organization skills while working with stakeholders, both internally and externally. I have strong skills in SAP Ariba applications, ERP systems such as ECC, S4, and Oracle, and Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Notes, and PowerBI. I am passionate in continuous development, take pride in the work I produce, and care about the people around me. I am always up for a challenge and love to have fun!
