About Jayendra Rimal

My involvement with Leadership Academy Nepal (LAN) aims to provide world class learning and development to Nepali organizations through hybrid courses and executive development programs. I am the Team Leader for a program that seeks to develop capacity of NGOs funded by Ford Foundation. I have diverse experience in the field of management and training since 1989. I have many years of work experiences through various assignments related to helping organizations in areas like Project Management, Stakeholder Engagement, General Management, Organizational Development & Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building. As the Chief Operating Officer at Institute for Social and Environmental Transition – Nepal (ISET-N) from June 2011 to May 2018, I was involved in the overall general management and operations including financial management of this research based think tank. In addition, I oversaw the preparation of reports, activities related to research and external communications. Previously I worked as the Principal Consultant of Management Dynamics Pvt. Ltd, and Jobs Dynamics where I led numerous consulting assignments and training activities for many organizations. In 2010 I was a keynote speaker at a SAARC level conference on “Evolving a SME Policy for SAARC Countries” held in Chennai, India. I have worked as a researcher in a Project funded by International Finance Corporation in undertaking a survey of the SMEs in Nepal. I have also completed a national level management consulting assignment with UNDP (On Deputation to National Human Rights Commission). I am also involved in various colleges as a senior faculty member. As a Senior Faculty at Nepal Academy of Tourism & Hotel Management, I was involved in developing human resources. I am visiting faculty for graduate level students at Kathmandu University School of Management and Ace Institute of Management and The British College and supervise graduate level thesis. I have attended many international and regional level conferences. I have been trained in management and engineering. An active Rotarian since 2003.
