Background
About Jayla Davis
I am a proud Davidson College Class of 2025 graduate, where I earned my B.S. cum laude in Psychology and Africana Studies. My academic journey fueled my passion for understanding human behavior, cultural context, and the systems that shape individual experiences. Currently, I serve as a Behavioral Technician, aspiring to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). In this role, I provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) support to individuals with autism, where I’ve gained hands-on experience in building communication skills, fostering independence, and celebrating progress both big and small. Looking ahead, I hope to expand my work to support students in higher education—particularly those navigating developmental, behavioral, or cultural challenges—by combining my background in psychology and Africana studies with my applied experience in ABA. My ultimate goal is to bridge research, practice, and mentorship to empower students to thrive academically and personally.
