About Jayla Felder

Jayla E. Felder is a native of Maryland, and, a recent graduate of The New School, where she received her Bachelor's in Fine Arts. She also works part-time at Voices for a Second Chance(VSC), a non-profit agency based in Washington, DC. During her schooling, she was introduced to Voices for a Second Chance (VSC), an organization that provides vital services to returning citizens and, justice-involved individuals in the District. Throughout the past 4 years, her responsibilities and roles have expanded within the organization and, she now serves as the Program and Operations Assistant to the Program Director. During her time with VSC, she has been granted the opportunity to help develop new programming, marketing and development materials, and initiatives for client services. In addition to helping raise community-based awareness about the incredible mission of VSC she also, helped with administrative and program tasks as needed. She has discovered over time that she has developed a dual passion for theatre and, social services. Her dedication to both fields has inspired her to merge the two and, develop a documentary film that she curated for her senior thesis project at The New School.
