Background
About Jayla Parrott
Hello! My name is Jayla Parrott (she/her). I am a junior Information Science and Psychology undergraduate student at the University of Maryland. I strongly believe that solutions should be multifaceted, accounting for the diverse needs of the public, which is why I am intrigued by the ways that technology can be leveraged for unique solutions to our most pressing societal issues. This has opened up a myriad of industries that I would love to explore, such as user experience research and design (UX/UI), human-computer interaction (HCI), and human resources. To strengthen my leadership and skills beyond the classroom, I am involved in a variety of experiences on campus. In particular, I am a citation recipient from the Honors Humanities Honors College, heavily involved in the Student Alumni Leadership Council, and the Maryland Child and Family Development lab as a research assistant.
