About Jaylan Hobson

I am a second-year veterinary student at Midwestern University, committed to advancing my skills and knowledge in veterinary medicine. My journey so far has given me valuable hands-on experience working with animals and supporting veterinary teams. During my time as a kennel assistant at the Michigan Humane Society, I worked closely with animals in need, assisting with daily care, enrichment, and overall well-being. This role helped me develop strong animal handling skills and taught me the importance of communication with pet owners and collaborating in a fast-paced environment. As a veterinary assistant at Berkley Animal Clinic, I supported veterinarians and technicians in patient care, prepared equipment for exams, and assisted in minor procedures. These experiences strengthened my abilities in client communication, animal care, and basic medical procedures, further fueling my passion for veterinary medicine. As I continue my education, I’m excited to build upon these experiences through clinical rotations and expand my practical knowledge. My goal is to become a compassionate and skilled veterinarian, dedicated to improving animal health and welfare.
